Hi all,
I have an idea for replacing England's current Civ Trait to align it more with its true historical focus (in my opinion).
The Trait will be called 'Legacy of Westminster'. The Trait's primary feature is a special form of Government for England called 'English Monarchy', which replaces the current Monarchy Government. The English Monarchy Government will have 7 Policy slots: 2 Military, 3 Economic, 2 Diplomatic and 2 Wildcard. The trade-off however is that England cannot choose any other Tier 2 or Tier 3 Government, and so you are forced to choose that one Government English Monarchy. The Legacy Bonuses for the English Monarchy are (all of the following): "Additional +1% Bonus to Great People point generation every 10 turns" AND "Additional +1% Bonus influence points every 10 turns" AND "Additional +1% Bonus on all production every 20 turns."
The logic behind this ability is that England has, for nearly all of its history, had one form of government, which has endured the test of time and every possible situation.
The secondary feature of the Civ Ability is the ability to change policies each turn without any cost, thereby giving flexibility.
The logic behind this secondary ability is based on the idea of Parliamentary Sovereignty, which is that the Parliament can do anything, or undo anything without restriction - i.e. without cost.
