This is probably an unrealistic request at this point of time since the game is already in late stages of development, but why not share an interesting idea anyway :D . I think unit mobilization ought to be changed drastically to befit a more a complex gameplay style, particularly in the sphere of military developments within the game. Instead of having cities 'create' units in the same manner as constructing city improvements, maybe the cities should just create and stockpile weapons. The various weapons that could be constructed can depend on the civ's local resources (bows can be built if timber is around, swords can be built if iron or bronze is around [lower quality swords for bronze?], nukes can be built if uranium and aluminum is around, etc.). Then a certain percentage of civ's populous can be 'drafted' and equiped with those weapons.

I have to admit that the idea comes from my exprience playing Lord of the Realms II; but why not use something great from a franchise that hasent been doing so great? All is fair in love and war and civing. :goodjob: .
