Coming from Civ3 I find it really hard to decipher everything that's going on on the map. I have to really zoom in close to see what things are, whereas in Civ3 it was easy because the style was more symbolic and with clearer colours.
Am I the only one with this problem? I even think the 'show resources' icons are a little hard to see clearly. Many of the units also look very similar from a distance, it might be helpful if they had stronger colours..
I was just wondering if anyone is looking at specifically addressing overall legibility of the graphics, perhaps by simplifying some things and increasing colours for a more symbolic, less realistic approach. Although I enjoy zooming in, it's difficult to get a clear strategic view of the map. I'm really rather puzzled I'm not seeing any posts about this, maybe I'm just going blind..
