fails to install

I bought a brand new pc, and hoped to play Civ4 on it, bu it fails to install.

What OS are you running? I have 98 still and don't have the money to buy Civ 4, Update my graphics card, AND buy Windows XP, Iso I won't be playing Civ 4 for quite a while.

I'm using XP Home with SP2
On my previous computer i had no problem installing under XP. And now I have a way more advanced one, and it won't work...

Here's something you can try. Copy the contents of Disc 1 to a folder on your desktop. Then, copy the contens of Disc 2 to the same folder. Run the installer from this folder.

Let me know if this works for you.

Well it only has one disc here (dvd), but I tried. Thanks for the advice, but it didn't work...

The thread here seems to indicate it's an Installshield hiccup. The OP there did resolve it. I hope it helps you.
