Game crashes at around 200AD-ALWAYS!

I just instaled civ 4 and it crashes every game around 200AD? Is there an explanation and that problem can be solved and how?

Could this be when you are getting calendar and centering the map? Mine is crashing at around the same point in time - just after I get calendar from a trade. Haven't worked a way around it yet though.
