Game freeze problem

thought i would post this here, since there is more action on this forum.

i noticed when im in the view advisers screen and going through my military units certain buttons will freeze up (the O and X buttons). i can still use my keyboard buttons, but this makes the mouse useless when i exit the screen.

this a glitch or does my computer not have enough RAM?

somethimes i got that too. my solution is to reload game or if that doesnt work i restart the game

I had a lot of crashes with 500 meg of RAM. Since I increased it to a Gigabyte for other reasons I can only recall 1 or 2 crashes.

k, i figured it was a RAM problem, i only have 512.

I ran C3C on a Win98 box with 512 RAM.

I could also have Notepad, Paint and MapStat (a free Civ III game utility created by a forum member) open when the game was going with no problem. Word and/or CivAssistII (another game utility) did cause issues.
