Game freezes at multiplayer lobby

I'm trying to play some multiplayer games with my friend, but the game freezes every time I get to the Lobby. I have no clue what the problem is. Anyone have similar issues, or know of a way to fix it?

does it run fine on single player? if so i have the same problem
