Game saves and set up issues

Hello all,
I can't find the games I saved and everytime I restart the game all my settings in the game options need to be redone
Also then a look in : my documents/my game I can't see the folder for civ 6, I got the previous civs but not this one.
I got the game from the steam platform.
I run windows 10 on an Asus ROG laptop.
I hope someone will have an answer this really bugs me has I have to start from scratch everytime.

I have exactly the same problem - and also on Win10 and Steam. according to another source, on steam the files are in a different location:

but there is no 8930 folder in my userdata/userid folder...

If you get a program called 'Everything Search' for Windows, someone can come along and tell you the name of the folder you can't find and you can search to see where it's going.

finding a folder isn't a problem - civVI app isn't saving files to the drive

The problem was with my antivirus (bitdefender for me), civ 6 needs to be added to the trusted list.

Seems Civ VI is having a few issues with different AV packages lately. The ILS issue some users are seeing is also due to AV software, in this case Windows Defender.
