The second Civ II Democracy Game has ended. With a score of 2567 points the great empire of NUF ends with an impressive 333% rating. Even though the focus at the end of the game was not on maximizing score, we had 52 settlers/engineers that could have been added to the scoring, as well as some city micromanagement that could have added 35 more points. That would have given us a forecasted score of 2706 points and a 352% rating.

Congratulations to all the many players who helped make this possible.

The glorious civilization of NUF has freed the world in the second Civ II Democracy Game with the game ending in 1836AD and a score of 2567 points and an impressive rating of 333%.

Because of the great teamwork that was shown throughout the game, players that may not have been comfortable with the Deity level on their own were able to play and thrive in this game. Every person who played, regardless of skill level, was able to contribute to the overall success of the mighty NUF Empire.

The game was played on a large map with Raging Hordes and 7 Civilizations. While we started on our own continent we had regular incursions by the Barbarians and the Vikings. We developed our nation into one that could not only protect our own lands, but one that would also begin to look towards protecting other lands. It started slowly, first freeing the Viking people from their lives of tyranny in 1600AD. Then, after a bit more exploring we found the subverted peoples of the Spanish. They were freed in 1782AD. From there, as the world heard of our success and great way of life, others called for us to help them. The Indians were the next to join our empire in 1798AD, shortly after the Russians joined us in 1812AD. There remained only two other civilizations. The Greeks, who had forever been repressed by the Russians and had only 3 cities, were welcomed into the mighty NUF in 1836AD. At that point only the Persians remained. We acted swiftly to liberate them and did so the same year as the Greeks, in 1836AD.

The discussions have already begun for the settings of the next installment of the Civ II Democracy game. All players are welcome to join, no matter the skill level.
