Goblin Worker AI Vs. Dwarven Worker AI?

Not really active in these forums... but... figure this would be where to ask my question.

In a game, I played Khazad on Noble difficulty (testing out the mod and feel and what-not). Loving those dwarf workers, but beside the point...There was a barbarian state island, in which I captured some Goblin Workers, so I brought them back to my country. An interesting thing I noticed:

When I set the golin workers to automate, they wanted to mine two hills near my town that were covered with forest and road, yet my dwarven workers didn't want to do such a thing, and mind you, they can build either dwarven or normal mines.

Thoughts on this? And if there is a difference, why is there a difference in the automation AI... and uh... which one is "smarter" overall? :P

Thanks again!

You might want to select the Option so that workers do not destroy improvements already there.

I used to Automate the workers to keep track of other pressing matters, but found they often screw things up or get picked off by intrusive Worg Riders or Goblin Chariots. God, I miss the Core of the Subtle. ;)

The other thing you mentioned that is interesting is mixing and matching the different worker types. In one game I think I had four kinds of workers all trying to build different versions of basically the same improvement. Very confusing!
