Goddess of Festivals (No faith for wine)

Hi guys.
I am surprised nobody seems to have posted about this before. I picked this as a trait of my religion.

Incense definitely shows up as contributing 1 faith per item.

Wine however shows up none other than its normal contribution. Yes all my cities are connected via road to the capital. So...........what gives?

And no my wine is not traded away.

??? Confused, worked fine with me, sure you had a plantation on the wine and all?

Only thing I can think of... is a city where your pantheon hasn't spread yet. If you get a religion and found a new city, it will be religion free until it spreads there, no religion in the city, no pantheon or belief bonuses.

Do you have your religion in the city that has the wine? It doesn't matter if it's connected to the capital or not - all religion effects only work in cities that have your religion.

Also note that if someone else's religion spreads to you, you lose the benefit of your own pantheon in cities that have the foreign religion as majority religion.

Did you make sure the wine is being worked by the city?

You don't need a plantation for Goddess of Festivals, which actually makes it particularly useful before you have your workers out improving things. I took it in my current game, and got the bonus (from incense) before one of the incense tiles had a plantation.

It definitely works for both. I recently had wine and incense spawn next to each other (is this common) . . . between two cities I had 7. I took monasteries too. Nice synergy. The culture benefit really adds up if you stay small.

Yes I just took the belief last night because I had a few wine in my capital and it got faith without a plantation. It is probably what was posted about the city being built after the religion and not having the religion spread there yet.

Weird though, the OP says incense is getting faith fine. Does the faith not show up if it isn't in your borders yet? Or is the wine in the fourth or fifth level out from the city center?
