I like the following:

Profondo Rosso
Tenebre
Suspiria
Phenomena

Suspiria and Phenomena have issues with the plot (well, more issues ;) ), but sort of make up for them in other ways.

I like Argento, although he is repetitive and doesn't seem to mind plot that much. Profondo Rosso probably has the most concrete plot of his movies that i have seen.

Whatever, though; Phenomena has Jennifer Connelly, and apparently the girl (also called Jennifer) in SNES horror classic "Clocktower" was modelled after her :D

Giallo films have to be something you enjoy watching to even begin to think his films are not repulsive. It's like zombie films. They once were marginalized and now they are mainstream. Giallo is like that to such a degree that at least four of Argento's films are in the top thirty horror films today. They are early torture porn and an outcome of French experimental macabre theatre spectacles. And those developed due to Shakespeare and plays like Titus Andronicus.

Apart from Profondo Rosso/Tenebre/Suspiria/Phenomena, his other movies seem to be quite bad. Maybe not the first ones (older), but anything from Inferno onwards seems to just have at best a few good scenes.
I already gave up on the Stendhal Effect, and i am unlikely to watch more of his works.

And since Argento then influenced others, even more schlock giallo was created.

You could make the argument that he positively influenced horror and that the Hannibal Lecter movies and especially the tv show would never have been created without Argento's Suspira.
