Graphics all mixed up

I had Civ3 and just got the Conquests upgrade. For whatever reason, when the upgrade installs the graphics some of the graphics are given the wrong names, which results in a pretty funky gameplay: random leader heads floating around, missing o and x buttons so I have to guess where to click, etc. The game is still playable, but it is really annoying. I've tried reinstalling and checking all the patches, but no luck.

I could spend several hours going through the pediaicon.txt file and looking at each of the image files and changing the names until it all worked, but I don't think I want to do that.

I was hoping that someone would take the time to zip up the "Art" folder in the Conquests folder and post it on here. Then I could just replace what I have with what it is supposed to be.

Any takers?

Well, I'm gonna say what I say every time, uninstall both Conquests and Civ3, clean up the folders, reboot, and reinstall them. Patch them to the latest release, and try again. Doing a clean install of Civ3 and then Conquests could clear up the errors.

It could also be your OS, or your disks might be scratched up.

Thank you for trying to help, but as I already stated in the first post, doing a full reinstall and updating all the patches simply does not work. I don't know if this problem is a conflict in the releases I have or why it is happening. It is not a scratched disk problem either. When it installs the images, it simply names the files incorrectly. The name is correct, but the image associated with it is wrong. For example, the graphic that has the heads for Joan of Arc might be given the name for the file for the background graphic for a popup menu. So when the popup menu comes up, behind the text is a bunch of Joan of Arc heads. If I find the popup menu graphic with the wrong file name and change it to the filename of the graphic that the Joan of Arc one has, then voila! Problem solved. The only thing is I don't want to do this for the 100 graphics or so that have this problem (it'd take me several hours to figure it all out). What I need is for someone to please post a zipped file of the Arts folder in the Conquests folder. I am certain that will solve the problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times now with updating the patches. It just recreates the problem.

hmm.... could it be for some reason the installers on the disks are corrupt? Try getting them exchanged from where you got them.

My Conquests arts folder has Watercolor files, not quite standard.
