I want to figure out what were the main states within the North-Eastern & Eastern part of the HRE ca. year 1250 (they will be factions in a game).
I have found this map:
http://www.atlassen.info/atlassen/reimer/wolha01/picslarge/wolha1877k005.jpg
This is roughly my area of interest (except for the Duchy of Pomerania and the Kingdom of Bohemia as they will be non-German factions):
But this "Flickenteppich" is so terrible, that I haven't really learned anything new (i.e. that there must be Brandenburg for sure).
Was Lusatia (Lausitz) and Meissen at that time (ca. year 1250) united under one monarch?
It seems that the Duchy of Braunschweig and Lueneburg (link below) was a major regional power in that region in ca. 1250. Is it correct?

Maybe someone has a less complicated map, but a one which still shows the actual divisions (more or less) within the HRE? I've found this Flickenteppich - which is realistic but complicated - and apart from this I've found also maps which show entire HRE as one entity (which is not what I need).
Do you which were the main states in that region around year 1250 (apart from Brandenburg, Bohemia and Pomerania)?
===================================
Edit:
Map from the link to German wikipedia showing the Duchy of Braunschweig & Lueneburg in year 1235 is good:

I need something like these (such a clear, readable map with only major "players" within the HRE marked) but for the entire area of my interest.
Any info about the number of inhabitants of more important cities and towns of that part of the HRE around year 1250 is also appreciated.
