So my brother who definitely knows nothing about computers decided to add some mods to civ 4. I prefer the original version but whenever I reinstall I get the same problems. There's no catapults, no revolutions and probably alot of other crap. What I ask is how do I swipe my game clean? If someone could give me a detailed answer it would be most appreciated. I am a beginner when it comes to computers so if someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Rob

Sorry for this simple answer but why not re-install totally your game...

You should start by deleting your Mods and Custom Assets folders. You can find these by going to your Civ4 directory (C:\Programs Files\Firaxis\Sid Meier's Civilization 4). The Mods folder will just say Mods, so delete it. You should also see a shortcut folder which says Custom Assets. Double click on it and you will be taken to an area in My Games for Civ 4. Go up one level and then delete the folders that say Custom Assets and Mods.

You should be good then, unless your brother modded the base Civ4 files which is a big no no. If thats the case then you'll need to reinstall.
