1. How can i make my bases all produce the same thing? I know can i select them all and set them to build/conquer etc but if i want them ALL to produce a specific unit/building how can i do this?

2. Why didn't alpha centauri sell as well as civilization did? When i first played it i was about 11 and really into c&c, i thought the sensor arrays were like obelisks of light, how surprised i was when the hive walked straight past my line of sensor arrays and conquered my two bases :( i also that Deirdres bases were forests of some sort (didn't help that the first one i encountered was called razorbeak wood). Yet i still got into it and found it fun! How come noone else did?

1. No idea if it is even possible (it has been some years since I played it though), in any case I don't remember I've done it...

2. I think it's mainly because
- the space/sci-fi setting + a manual of some 250 pages (though it's certainly playable without manual), scared away quite a few new players, while seasoned Civilization players preferred their medieval setting
- the Civilization series, Warcraft and Age of Empires all took a big part of the "strategy games" pie before in the same period as when Alpha Centauri was released
