Just wondering what you guy's buy for youre relative's ,kids ,girlfriend ,parent's ,etc. in these holiday time's.Is it something usually or are you an original buyer?

my "original" presents:

Grandparent's: a botlle of Delhaize prized wine's.
Father: sigare's
Mother: Some Maria (mom is catholic) kandle's and some style candle's.
Girlfriend: not to cheap and not to expensive bracelet (still the most expensive gift of all these ;) )
big brother: actually don't know yet
Middle brother: I have a sticker for his car from the Fuse(discotheke he likes)

myself: nothing :( (nah i'll get some :) ) and it better be good ;)
nah i don't care anyway :crazyeyes most present's you get at my age are louzy anyway

I voted "something else" on the poll, because I don't expect anything. That way, whatever I get, even if it really sucks, will seem nice. :D

Ah, High School was the day. My parents would by me cards to send me relatives, and only my sister and I had to colloborate on a Hannukah card to the parents.

In College, life was so hard I actually bought cards on my own. ;) Though my aunt now says I'm to old to get presents from her, last ever gift was a walkman, she gave the best gift.

As for what I expect, why Civ 3 of course.

Personally....I don't give a crap about holidays. It's turned into consumer frenzy.

I'd be happy to do nothing.

I do however buy gifts for the family.....as they expect it........and I like to get gifts, but don't know why it isn't spread out over the year. Christmas comes and people expect many gifts....to not be considered a Scrooge and despised by everyone I have to play along.

I'm a man out of time. :(

I'm luckier. :D Here, we don't celebrate Christmas (in the Western sense) ..... :) except for the holidaying and partying part. So no worries about gifts and such.

I will give my:
grandma: some action movies (the more people die the better, she really loves it:crazyeyes)
Father: a stool for his keyboard.
Mother: ?,suggestions anyone
brother: Lord of the rings book
sister: queen best of all 3 CD's.
brothers girlfriend: Trance 2001 (CD) My brother hates trance so this will be fun:D

I will be getting: drumsticks, enemy at the gates, bringing out the dead (both DVD's), ?

It is pretty lame, I have to buy my own presents because my parents couldn't find what I want.
This not fun to know almost all your presents.

I feel with you Strik, I have to buy my own presents too!!! It's really a pain as I first had to think of presents to give my parents, my girlfriend, my girlfriend's parents and my brother and now....I have to think of presents to give myself :(

I love christmas... Too bad for all of you who don't like holidays.

I'll give;
Girlfriend: A pearl-necklase and "Truth" from CK (parfume)
Brother: Deodorant from Hugo Bosch
Mother: A CD (that she wanted)
Father: Two bottles of good red-wine
Girlfriends ziplings: Disney videos
Grandparents: A new camera (with my mom, dad and brother)
Other grandparents: I have no clue - maybe scotch.

Thats all the gifts I'll give...
Have a happy christmas everyone

All I want out of Christmas time is some quality time with the fam.

I always buy everyone a decent gift. usually nothing too exciting though....I'm very practical;)

When I was younger Christmas was all about presents. I'd make a big long list of stupid little stuff I wanted with well over a hundred items on it. But as I got older, it didn't matter anymore. Now all I want is just to get some time off from the hectic life, sit down with the family members I still have left, eat too much, and drink, drink, drink.

As far as I'm concerned, I've already gotten enough sh!t for christmas. This year I ended up with something I really, really don't want, but really, really need: Life Insurance Money.

It's more money than I've ever had: but I really don't want it. I consider it blood money; made off the death of another person. Maybe I'll stuff it into a money market account and forget about it.

I go out usually on Christmas Eve to Leeds and wander the shopping arcades (very pretty as they are from the Victorian Period and have cool designer shops) and see what I pick up...usually some celtic (or Rennie Mackintosh) jewellery for my mum, some book or film for my father and something random for my brother...

Christmas can be very expense...cost me £200 last year...and I am not Santa :o

:crazyeyes
