When the battlesuit gets upgraded [to either of the three types], its strenght goes up from 24 to an ass whooping 66 and get +30% when defending.

The Evolved type gets +40% when not close to friendlies, so am I correct or wrong to understand that, when alone and defending, it gets +70% combat strenght? Because thats 112 combat strengh and I'm not even counting the fortification bonus, plus the health gained [that can be really high with the right combos].

These guys ARE Adeptus Astartes, The God Emperor would be so proud! :D

Until they get rekt by prime CNDRs in formation with up to 130 combat strength. But yeah that is a strong defensive build.

Redeemers can pull silly amounts of power when flanking and they have far better mobility.

Plus, Redeemers don't require any resource, travel on water and can even shield carriers entering their tile, last i tried.

As for "lone tough" unit, upgraded xeno titan with such an upgrade has uses, when supported by long-range (3+ tiles) units. Battlesuits? Nope. Few jets and, say, a SABR hit, and the guy won't make it home alive. As for "defend homeland" use - i prefer ranged units + magrails (and vindicators whereever applicable), rly...

Well I didn't see these other powerful units, so I guess my excitement is understandable... and they still look like Space Marines, a deepstrike ability to go behind enemy lines would suit them well [like X-com squads in CiV]

Yeah the +40% when Alone is really a double edged sword. In small encounters it's good, but against larger armies you just leave giant holes wide open for flanking attacks if you're trying to work this benefit. It doesn't matter how strong your unit is if it can get attacked four times per turn.
