my computer's got a virus/bug/trojan/apyware/adware/whatever/etc. (i'm not enitrely sure of the difference) anyway, using Internet exploder, just today my homepage some got set on http://www.bettersearch.biz/ and whenever i try to get it to My Yahoo!, it goes back about a minute later, also, occasonly i will have a new window of IE open up that displays the adress 66.117.37.10/di.html (the title reads microsfot internet explorer, powered by comcast H...) and opening it up renders a balnk screen that won't close and i have to hit end now, blah blah blah... using XP and the problem isn't affecting my mom or dad's homepage, i'm sure there's an easy solution to this, now i humbly wait for a response :worship:

You're browser has been hijacked, probably by Cool Web Search.

You can either fight it, or switch to http://www.mozilla.org and use it as your browser instead.

Without an anti-virus program, you don't have a prayer, good tech support is really your only option....

or you can go to BroadBand Reports, and follow the rules for posting a hijack this log.

Jesus, even if you do swtich, you need to remove it anyway. Don't let spyware stop you from using your browser of choice...or force you to switch browsers (Yes, even though I know Firefox > Internet Explorer).

a system restore did the trick

Or just get S&D and run the immunise part of it and make sure you have the popup blocker when using ie.
