Hello
I have made a map with a scenario, can get it loaded in, but I do not have the ability to save it. When I go to the menu with the normal load/save, the only options are 'option' and 'return to main menu'. What am I missing?

Hopeful bump, and re phrase of the question. When I start any type of MOD game in Civ V, my map and scenario or the real earth map or the Mongols, I cannot save the game like one can playing Civ the 'normal' way. From in game I do not have the option of loading or saving a game, just terminating to the main menu or to windows.
Am I missing something here?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply, Justicex, but I am not sure it helps me. Even when I download mods like Mongol and the true earth maps - mods that I do not create, and start playing them in Civ V, there is no way to save the games in the middle. It seems that there is a default that no mod game, nor any scenario can be saved part of the way through. It is not even one of the things that one can do from the 'MENU' pull down in the upper right corner of the game: all one can do is exit to windows and the like. It sounds like something in CIV V that is blocking the ability to save, not the mods themselves.

Try playing a normal game from the main menu. If you can save properly, then it's the broken mods that I linked you to in my previous post. If that is the case, then you will have to look for a more recent version of the mods that was made after that update.

If you can't save in a regular game from the main menu, then you might need to re-install Civ V.

Yes, I can save in a normal game, so I guess it must be the mods themselves. That is kind of weird that the ability to save a game is not the default since that implies that one should complete scenarios and mods in one sitting. It is also kind on weird that there is no 'save game' or 'load game' in the MENU window at all: I could understand if they were grayed out, but not that they are completely missing.
So I will try to reload the earth map and another mod and see if I can play and save those. It is also very annoying that all I wanted to do was start with a predefined map, and after 3 weeks I am still battling strange effects of having to make a 'MOD', having to load the mod, not being able to save the game, etc, when it seems like it would be more straight forward to just allow people to make maps and load them directly into the 'regular' game. It is made worse by the fact that the modding manuals, like Kael's, do not mention a lot of the features like having to specify that you would want to save a mod game, that sort of thing. Just griping...

A properly-made mod won't have those issues. Kael's tutorial that we all used was based off the beta version of the SDK. But it still worked great after release until that one patch where Firaxis decided to start removing unused tags.

A little frutrating I know, but the game is still new. Many more growing pains to go through yet :D
