How long do your Civ1 games last? How does this compare to how long your Civ3 games last?

I like short games, and I'm finding Civ3 games endless.

Definitely shorter than the average Civ3 but also Civ2 games.
I haven´t played a lot lately, but I did take part (and won :p) the first Civ1 GOTM here. And that took about half the amount of time I put into the Civ2 GOTM. And probably a third or even a fourth of the time I invested in last months Civ3 GOTM.
:D

You can finish as fast as you want and even have a score, just hit retire.;)
A full game will usually not take me more than two or three hours (pure conquest) but when I play OCC it may only take me an hour or so. When I want a nice civilization with lots of cities with improvements and stuff it takes me lots longer and I often don't have the time to do that.

Depends on how you're trying to play. Are you playing for a high score? - it takes forever, though not so long I guess with Civ1. Are you playing OCC? - I can win a Civ1 OCC game in just two hours. Or just playing a normal game to win? - depends on the style: if you're playing isolationist on say Civ2 you can have a quick fast game, often without any combat. You rarely get the change for zero combat on Civ1. The more combat the longer the game. The higher the desired score the longer the game.
