how much does this site cost to maintain?

I was just wondering, because this seems to be a hugely popular site (25,000 members!?) - does the owner have a dedicated server?

No, No dedicated server.... Yet.

We are currently hosted for free and thus the banner ads and such.

I think they lease the service and server from telefrag, who by the way needs to upgrade their equipment.

TF should get more than free service, he should get paid too...
that's alot of good, cheap, and effective advertising that TF allows them to do.

I think the advertising is why they provide it for free.

I think Telefragged is a rarity in the free server space providers (plus with stuff like PHP/MySQL)... Most don't even allow you to have a lot of space, or scripting languages.
