Did anyone find a solution to the black map/no leader figure problem?
I know this is old...-black map

Depends on the cause - can happen in many different ways for different reasons. When does it happen to you?
Have you loaded V1.52 and checked your hardware against the game hardware specs ?
Can you please post your dxdiag - helps to look at what maybe causing it for you
(Start Button - click - select run - type dxdiag - press enter - wait a min - select "save all information" - remember where you saved it - post as an attachment using the 'go advanced' button below)

Cheshire cat leaders can be fixed by the patch.
To get rid of the black map problem you need beefier hardware. Once you get the right hardware, the game plays smooth as silk, no problems.
