Well, I've moved my modem to my Civ3 computer, but... I have one nagging problem. Whenever I use MSDialup, none of my browser work (which was why I was stuck with my crippled OS in the first place). Here's what's happening:
I can dial in just fine (yes, I'm using a dialup.
), but... when it's connecting to the 'network', it gives this message:
Microsoft Networking: No domain server was availible to validate your password. You may not be able to gain access to some network resources.
...then it asks for a network password for Microsoft Networking, of which I have none, or I don't remember putting one in. I've found a password file (name.pwl - password list, I guess), but deleting it doesn't help. This is a local computer (no one else really uses it), and I don't have the login prompt.
1. How do I get rid of that thing?
2. If it's not related to MSDialup not working (my other computer connected with MSDialup fine, but the browsers didn't connect...), then what should I do?

This computer used to be "local" (not connected to the Internet), and the only way I think it got there was from some files from college. This one didn't have a virus scanner, since I got most of my files from another computer (which had a virus scanner). Anyway, I deleted, then the problems multiplied. Windows wanted that file! :rocket:
