is there a "FLICster" for mac?

Also, when you start, if you click on the box under the leader's picture in the setup screen, you can change Name, Gender, Civ name, etc.

Settle down, Mac. I wasn't even talking to you- I was responding to Grey Randall's post 1 behind you. While I think this thread has wandered a bit off-topic, your question has been clearly answered. The answer was NO.

If you're going to take offense to things people say when they are not talking to you, you're in for a rough life.

Apparently, the guy who makes flicster has gone missing, and did not release the source code. I'm gonna start looking at the code, i got the GIMP image editor for X11 with an FLC plugin. The FLC header Civ3 uses is non-standard. Perhaps a plugin for GIMP, or a stand-alone application can be built. I know quicktime can read and play standard FLC animations. I think that a basic FLICster could take several weeks to several months to put together from scratch, unsless someone who knows a lot more about the format than I do wants to program it. I think It'd be much easier to get the source for the PC version, a port would be easier than ground-up.
