Is there a problem with BTS in MS Seven?

I have just upgraded to a new machine and MS Seven. Previously I used XP and I could play the Mod Planetfall under BTS no problem but not now! I get XML language errors; whatever that means! The basic Civ 4, it seems, I can continue to play but not any MOD under Civ 4.

I have tried the MS Seven Compatibility program under Seven to no avail but then I have never been able to make the MS Compatibility program work under any MS OS to which I have upgraded! I have always had to wait for a patch, as perhaps I may this time.

I can play MOO3 fine and that game is seven years old! I can't believe I can't play such a recent game as Civ IV BTS under 7! ;(

I have been playing Civ4 on Win7 since RC and its been good. Had some issues in the beginning but they were sorted out when got final Win7 release.

Also, am playing Steam version of Civ4 so that is auto updating everything for me.

Have you checked all your drivers are up to date and that Civ4 is FULLY patched? Also, if you have only recently gone to Win7, have you installed ALL the updates?

What is the "steam version" of Civ 4, please, Climber James?

I am assuming that I will automatically receive the updates for Win 7 as I did with XP.

You do make me wonder, however, if I lack some patch for Civ 4. I shall check that out. Though I updated to BTS 3.19, which is, as far as I am aware the latest patch; however I shall check that out, too.

I should also add, that there may be a problem in my setup with regard to the game. I have an I.7 Intel core with a powerful graphics but BTS complains I don't have enough graphics power, I think? It could be a driver issue. Also, it complains I haven't a voice file of some sort or it is disabled. Oh dear, I have never had an upgrade without problems of this kind.

I have uninstalled and then installed again but it makes no difference. I updated to the latest BTS patch.
