Just Downloaded Opera... Now questions

Is there any way to minimize that taskbar at the site?
On the front page of this forum, the links for post new thread on the main page appear as plain black text. Any way to stop that?
How can I transfer my shortcuts for IE over to Opera.

It sounds like the image just didn't load. The connection just might have timed out before it did, or whatever. Happens every now and then.

The thing were it has the Bookmarks, Mail, Contacts, History, Transfers, Links, Windows, and Notes tabs.

Ah ok. Right click it at the top where the bookmarks/mail/etc buttons are and it has options for location (left-default, right, floating, off) choose off. Or the star toolbar icon (hotlist). Or F4.

In Opera 7.11 at least.

There is an option for importing IE Favorites.
I have the dutch version of 7.11 but the left drop down menu (with as first option "new page") there is a function for importing favorites.

If you haven't done it yet, hide all the extra things you won't be using. I've taken away the zoom, the extra search-fields, some links, the buttons for changing stylesheets(?)... on mine.

Another question. This one related to Internet Explorer. How can you figure out where your bookmarks are stored at on your hard drive.

In XP it's C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Favorites

Pre-XP (dunno about Win2k though) it's C:\Windows\Favorites
