I would certainly like to know what kind of resources AI is traiding with itself.Seeing only that two civs are traiding without knowing what isn't enought, instead knowing exactly the resources can change the strategy, decide where and when to attack. This is something that even in C3C could work realy easy by just adding in the trade screen this option on the details, exactly as it works when the human player wants to see what is traiding with AI.

Atleast you should be able to find it out for a diplomatic fee or through spionage.

investigage a city and you will see what resources are availalbe to that city. Then open the trade window and see what resources teh civ has. Any that don't match up between the two, he is getting from trade (or you already have it).

It is not that hard to figure out what resources the AI civs are trading. You just can not find out the GPT deals.

Yes but you can't know with whom it is trading with. The point is to have this information, however it would be easier just to use the detail option for this.

This is too much information for free. There should be a cost. You should have to use spying to find out the exact details of trade agreements.

Yes you can. Use the foreign advisor screen. Sure it does not tell you that the Incas are trading Horse to the germans or that the Mayans are trading silk to the Germand but it will tell you that the two are trading with Germany. From there, and investigating the capital, you can pretty much find out what goods are going to what civ.

Of course, I would like an espionage function that would let me know who is trading what with whom and for what.

edit: and you can always try to sign a trade embargo for additional information. I have never been able to get an AI civ to sign an embargo with an active trading partner, although they all want me to do it. :mischief:

This kind of information has never been a secret to any civ,i mean every country has the right to know what resources are beeing exchanged between two other nations,at least the resources that are ''legal''.Maybe the best sould be a combination of these two,a part of info that are free and another part which sould require a spy for finding out.If for example in Civ4 the trade of units will be possible then this info must require as you said a spy activity, for the rest i don't see why we souldn't be able to see the trade of silks between two civs.
