Lan Game

My friend and i have been playing Lan games with one another. The problem is that even though we save often, we cant figure out how to load the game again so that we both can play.

If someone could walk me through and give me an idiots guide to loading the saved game for both of us i would appreciate it. I dont much like playing for 3 or 4 hours then have to start over the next day lol.. thanks

I think you can select load game from the game mode pull down menu, but I am not sure because i have never played a lan game, but that is how it works for an internet game, I assume it is the same.

When you play a LAN game with another person, how many CDs do you need?

you only need one cd. but have it installed on both computers.

can anyone else help with this if anyone knows..

You should indeed select the 'load game' option under the 'game type' menu.
If you load the game, your opponent should receive the game immediately.

how can you play over a lan connection with only one Cd. Everytime I try to laod the game on the second computer, it says insert the Cd. Can anyone help me with this?

Insert the cd in one computer, than start civilization.

When civ is running on the first computer, you can remove the civ-cd from your cd-drive, and insert in the second.
Then you can start civ on that computer as well.
