leagues and tournaments?

hey, I have had civ3 gold for about a year or so now, I play a couple times a month usually, and its a great game. I searched and found some refferences to a league but could never find the actual link. I was wondering because so many people play this game, and I was wondering who was considered 'the best' or at least some top players who are 'up there' and also wondering if there were tournaments?

Civ3players ladder got now over 1000members. Most of the games are short 100turns elim games(teams, ffa, cton etc) but we play multiple epic games every week(non elims long games). We got multiple tournaments everyweek with basic settings and with different kind of mp scenarios. We also ran Clan Challenge Championships every 6 weeks(next will be in next weekend) and Nation's cup every fourth month(next will be in August).
