The last time I got killed in a Pitboss game, nothing happened in the sense that I just stared at a screen with my map and no units and a silly line saying "You are defeated!" Yesterday I got defeated again in a game, so this time I thought it might matter if I'd stay logged in until a new turn starts, but no such luck.
Apparently, the only way to get your score in the Hall of Fame is to save the game just before you get killed, load the game as LAN game, or Direct IP game, log in as yourself, 'vote' to continue the game (meaning all human players are replaced by AI), and then get yourself killed by your enemy, now controlled by the AI. (Unfortunately I didn't save the game before I got killed, so no HOF entry.

I really would've liked to see my score in the Hall of Fame and see the replay.
