Are there any Civ games that include Mechs?
I seem to recall that there was a game extremely similar to Civ.
I think it was named "Call to Power 2"

This ended up in a period of history where you could build mechs.
If I recall correctly the very interesting abilities of these mechs were useless because the game was
NOT turn based, you could not enable an abiliity quickly enough to make it practical.

Also, the game was a horror: you invested thousands of hours of real time playing, and without any warning, ti just ends. Tough luck, you reached a thouand turns, and even though you're still fighting the game is over. Enraging and mystifying.

If any reader here loves mechs and is considering purchase of Battletech, I warn you: inevest a LOT of time reading some of the thousands of angry posts about how that game is buggy and unbalanced.

Civ IV has units like Mechanized Infantry, but I don't know of any mainline Civ game really fits what I think you're looking for. Maybe Alpha Centauri?

I don't remember them from Alpha. Mechs, GIANT robot figting tanks.
check out Call to Power, it's cool except for the turn limit.

Yeah, Civ5 has them. In Civ4 there's the Next War mod that shipped with Beyond the Sword.

Rom AND2 has a whole era devoted to Mechs. Same for C2C.
