Merging districts

Hi, hope this is the right place to ask this.
I may want to start modding civ6. I have some modding experience (skyrim, civ5 personal use only) but I want to ask you if may know if this would be possible before starting digging myself.
Basically I want to merge Theater and Entertainment. Arena/Tlachtli would go to Encampment and the rest from Entertainment would go to Theater (yet merged name would be Entertainment or Cultural). The bonuses would be merged and anyhing, like wonders, that required one of them will require the merged one.
So, would this be possible? I'm most concerned about the graphical appearance, how to fit the new structures on the district besides the original ones.
Also, how do you think of this idea? Cause personally I think they pushed it too far with those districts...

Its possible, although, you can not merg the Artdefs. The Districts have set plot sizes for buildings, which 90% of the time means you can only used the buildngs linked to a district. The rest, Adjacencies, projects and the likes can all be merged quite easily.

Thanks Horem, so basically as I expected/feared.
Just curious though: "Civ 6 Improvements Patch" says it adds new buildings to districts...does that mean those buildings are not showing up on the map like vanilla ones do?
