Middle Ages - what happened to Arab Learning?

In the Middle Ages Conquest I started the game with the Cordovans. In the initial screen they say "Cordovans have recently mastered philosphy, alphabet, bla bla AND ARAB LEARNING"...they even start the game with a ansar warrior. But that's not true and it takes very long to develop Arab Learning...

Does this happen to everyone? any suggestions?

Once you research the prerequisite techs, Arab Learning will just be given to you. Granted, it's initially confusing but doesn't really qualify as a bug.
