Modding in Civ BE

hello guys! i've played CIV 5 and BE a lot(both since release) and due to the problems
and things i want to add in Civ BE, I would like to start modding.

now i know there are guides for CIV 5, but i haven't seen anyone for Civ BE.
So how do I get started? and is there a good map editor/creator?

To start you should read the CIV5 modding tutorial - most things mentioned there also apply to BE, since it is more or less the same engine.

The mod tool of choise is Firaxis Mod Buddy from the CIV:BE SDK (can be found under the "Tools" tab in your Steam Library.

Map editor for BE isn't released (yet).
