this are my first steps with the world builder, so bare with me

i read the manual, but it didn't answer my question.

i have a world map that is nice and all, just the incas are kinda screwed as they only have a small strip on the coast to build and no connection to the rest of the continent.

furthermore north and south america are only reachable by ship, there is no land connection (it's obstructed by mountains)

so, i wanted to correct that, but, in my first turn the AI already build some of their cities.
how can i save the scenario with just the starting place and without any units (beside the settler and warrior)?

oh, and another thing.
can i define Civs without restricting them to one leader?

Go into the worldbuilder notepad file, search for units and delete them. The wbs in notepad is a lot easier to modify than in-game. Actually you probably should only use wbs in notepad when editing.

alright, the Scenario works, but when i tried a game on Marathon settings about at 400 AD i got a 100 turns warning.

what is the setting for maxturns that i can play on marathon till 2100 AD?

Go to the Assets/Xml folder of your mod. Look for game info. Go in the there and look for gamespeed.xml if its not there, you'll need to go to the Warlords assets folder and copy and paste its gamespeed.xml into your mod. From there find Marathon and its game turn info tag where you'll find the turns and turn increments. Edit and save. Hopefull you shouldn't have a problem.

it's just a scenario, not a mod.

as such it doesn't have a folder, it's just the WBS file

now, if i somehow modify it successfully so that marathon lasts till 2100 AD, what about slower speeds? will they also stop at 2100 AD, or do they keep going on?

ok, i found the CIV4GameSpeedInfo.xml, summed up all the turns for Marathon and found that there should be 6050 turns.

now, i put that into the map, but what if it isnt played as marathon? will it run beyond 2100?

That's kind of strange, does your scenario have a predetermined time limit? There's a problem somewhere in your scenario because you shouldn't need 6050 turns, thats absurd. Try having a forced rules so theres a normal amount of turns and everything isn't screwed up.

can i just delete the "max_turns" so that the game decides how long it will last, depending on the time setting, normal, epic or marathon?
or is that an obligatory setting?
