I want to be able to ENTER my allies' occupied squares, and cities. I would like to be able to load units onto allied transports, ect. (also, the ability to send troops to allied cities to defend them, so you can unofficially declare war on your ally or friend's aggressor simply by defending his land).

I would like to see more realistic 'surrender' terms. Where you are allowed to walk through the 'surrenderer's' country/cities, and he cannot enter your land, plus, you get all his tech, and have some control over what he builds/researches. Kind of like a 'province', or a 'protecterate' nation.

Those two things would have to be the two major changes I'd like to see done in the Civ series.

Alpha Centauri has the first one, however, I can only play that far into the future for so long ;) I wouldn't mind allying up and moving in the same squares as my allies for God's sake ;) Is that so much to ask? :D

A protectorate would be a one-way mutual protection pact, where in exchange for resources, money, and tech, you fight their wars, right? I think this would work fine.

As for allies occupying the same tiles, I would like to see this also. Using allied transports should not be included, though. I would get really annoyed if I had a fleet of 3 or 4 transports sitting in the harbor when they get filled up with my ally's infantry.

=P LOL, good point, the transport thing could be annoying. Especially, since AI aren't the brightest. You might load a few modern armors onto one of their caravels, and they probably won't even have navigation, and end up sinking their ship. Or, they might start to explore with it, and your troops would be trapped =P

Even worse, your loading your tarnsports with modern armor... and they throw a few spearmen in the transport

LOL! It's like, "GET THE %$*# OFF!" Well, in that case, I'd have a few Galley 'decoys', and if allies load them up, just send them for a trip into the ocean ;)
