Mountain/Hill Shadows

When I use the World Builder to change a mountain to a hill or a plain, the mountain shadow remains and makes the new hill or plain look wrong. Similarly, when I change a plain into a hill or mountain, no shadow forms, making the new hill or mountain look wrong. Is there any way to fix this?

Saving and reloading the map does the trick, I'm pretty sure.
