I am currently trying to play a Muilti-Player Succession Game, when my partner and I load the game (through gamespy or direct IP) i put in the password, get to the staging room and the try to launch, I get a message saying that there is a version mismatch with the host (i have played many MPs where this message appears and did not seem to have any effect) and then a message saying
"The save file you have selected is protected to ensure that the assests folder in your mod folder have not been changed"
I have never seen this message before. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I am patched 1.52 (also uninstalled and reinstalled). I have no mods and have never had any mods. My Succession Game partners tell me that they also have no mods.
Clue? When I host my pointer/arrow/compass thing in the staging room is fine, when my partner hosts my arrow/compass is always spinning and never stops
