Need help replacing leader portrait of mod civ

I don't know how civs are made so I'm just guessing my way around it, and I'm not really interested in making one. I have two modded French leaders and I want to take the portrait of one and use it for the other leader. I tried replacing all the files that had to do with art: ArtDefs, Textures, XLPs, Mod.Art.xlp but it still had the old portrait. So I went one step further and replaced the BLPs, but now the leader I want to play has no art at all(The icon is a question mark). What do I have to do to replace a leader's portrait?

I didn't bother with replacing the icons though, since I want to see that it works before renaming all the files. Once I get the right portrait I would replace the rest, or is it mutually exclusive?

You cant edit BLP files.

Is not possible to publish Art in Civ 6 without at least making new .dds files.
