New map/idea for Mod?

Have anyone ever made a map of Mediterranean/east Mediterranean for Civ IV Col?

It may be a nice basis for a mod of early Renaissance of merchant Republics like Genoa, Venice, Ragusa,... colonizing the Mediterranean and defying Ottomans, Germans, Pirates. And instead of traveling to Europe, ships could set sail for the Orient or western economic powerhouses of Europe like London, Paris, Lisbon etc. Just a thought =)

It would certainly be a mod, which would be able to share a lot of graphics and stuff like that. In fact I would argue that it could become a scenario in M:C.

Just for the record: M:C is developing into using a generic DLL file, which can be shared across multiple mods. This mean even if a new mod has nothing to do with medieval times, it would still make sense to base it on this. Even without any C++ coders, a mod can use this and still get the newest additions coded in C++.

Also there are always vacant slots for people who want to mod Medieval Conquest itself. Rather than making two similar mods, it would likely be a better idea to join forces on a single mod. Spreading our rather limited modding power too thin could result in a bunch of unplayable mods rather than one or a few good ones.

it sounds cool a crusades mod, europeans in ottoman empire - Gerusalem area and independence from the motherland.

me, i always thought to the west, but not so far as in Westward mod (wyoming, oregon), maybe there would be more situations more eastward, when the frontiers were indiana, great plains region.
could be :
indiana, motherland united states (native leader) - fact of 1811
a border state of the confederacy, motherland union - secession war (here i should know exactly the history of each state to write the more suitable)
texas motherland mexico - fact of 1835
california, motherland mexico - fact of the mexican war
colorado, motherland mexico - mexican war
florida, motherland spain - first half of 1800
.. and if i'll have more idea i'll post them here.
