Hi to all of you.
I am working since a while on a serie of 4 scenarios tracing all the history of Europe and the Mediteranean region since prehistoric times. My first scenario will start in the Neolithic period and make its way through the Antiquity until the fall of Rome. I am not ready on everything yet, but the map, techtree, units, city improvments and wonders are done. I still have the events to do and testing the game after it's done.
The second scenario will start at the fall of Rome and continue to the Renaissance, covering so all the Middle Ages.
The third part will go from the 15th century Renaissance to the end of the 19th century.
The last scenario will obviously be about the last bit, from the end of the 19th c. to present days.
I will make 4 tech trees following each others ; one for each scenario. The 1st scenario has got separate units, wonders and improvement, while the 3 following will share them. So you won't see many wonders, airport, highway, ships or planes in the Middle Ages scenario, but they will come with their historcial time.
Historical and geographical realism is very important in these scenarios.
I will make all scenarios available both for French and English version of Civ2.
The particularity of these scenarios is that they act each as many scenarios. In the Antiquity, you can choose to start the game in 4000BC, in 500 BC, in 200BC, in 100AD, or at any other time if you wish to make a new scenario. It acts then more like a modpack, but changing the origina game completely. All units are new and most of the techs and wonders are as well. You will not find it to difficult to manage (I hope) as everything follows the course of history in a very logical way.
I have allowed more flexibility in the Antique tech tree compare to the others however. Maybe because each civ has first developped relatively independantly in different ways.
Here is a trial version of my Antiquity scenatio for the French edition.Rules.txt for English version coming soon ! As I can't put everything in one time, I will post 4 files separately. Create a Repertory called "Antique" and unzip all the files in it.
Please help me !
Is there a way of converting the Rules.fr into Rules.txt ? Now I have to retype manually everything.
