I'm currently playing my 2nd Civ game ever (Civ IV Warlords). I won the first one (Hathshepsut at 'Settler' level, Terra map). The second I'm playing as Korea (Settler level, Terra map).

In this game I noticed that all the other civilisations have an icon next to their names in the score box- three gold arrows in a kind of circle. The manual said it was a trade icon. However, I don't have that icon next to my name, only the religion icon.

Is this normal? And if it isn't, what do I have to do to get it?

I do have foreign trade routes with some civs, which is what I thought that icon meant.

Thanks.

I'm sorry.....I posted this in the wrong forum. I have since posted in the Civ IV Forum and got some really good info. Sorry for any confusion caused ...

no worries. there's a handful of threads in this forum that are meant for other civ games. Read through a couple of the guides in the war academy. I was coming from a backgroun of playing Civilization I, II, III, Call to Power I and II, and Alpha Centauri. There was still a ton of stuff in the war academy that helped my bump my gameplay up a couple difficulty levels.

even though this is the wrong forum and I should probably be posting in the thread that you made in the cIV forum, I totally agree with civmonger, those strategy articles totally weaned me off my weak warlords stuff straight into noble, then wuickly up to prince.
