No ASPI layer question?

Hi, I just bought Civ. 3 and installed it on my older Win 98 system and I get a message that reads: No ASPI layer found on your system.This is necessary for successful authentication. The game appears to install fine,but when I hit play the above error message pops up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well, I got the ASPI drivers loaded fine-it stopped that message. Now I get a message: Drive read errorlease insert Civ 3.Complete play disk into cd drive. Any ideas?Thanks

Clean your cd-rom drive and check to make sure your cd isn't dirty.
