Everythings goin good..yeah. So, I wanted to join the forums to see how this comunity is and all...
Just one question he he he
Well um...how do I get the mods working :mischief:
Yes yes I know noobiest question ever but I have no idea where to put these things and how to make em work. For example the mod with Sid Meier as a leader...how do I make that mod work, where do I put it? Thanks in advance for anyone who answers.

Also I heard you cant mod in new models into the game is this true :O

You might have to wait until the sdk comes out to add new models.
Pfft I have no idea how to do it..Im just hoping others can make some decent models. I would guess it would be alot harder than simple 2D Civ III.

In My Documents their is a folder called My Games that was put there when you installed Civ4. Directly unzip Sid Earth directly into the My Games folder and start Civ4. After the game has loaded click on where it says "Advanced" and then click on where it says "Load a Mod". It will bring you to a list of mods that can be loaded, considering this is your first mod click in the little circle by "Sid Earth". At such time it will tell you it needs to restart to load the mod. After it restarts click on "Single Player" and then click on "Play a Senario". At such time "Sid Earth" should be listed with all the other senarios that came with the game. Click on the circle by "Sid Earth" and then click on the "OK". At such time it should load the mod "Sid Earth" and then you can go on you happy civving way.

You are right at the present time no new models can be imported into Civ4, until such time as Firaxis gives the modding commuty an plugin for very expensive programs to export models to put into Civ4.

Thanks for the great help! Only different thing I did was put it in the MODS folder..I gues What I was doing wrong was not playing a scenario. Thanks so much!!
