Hello,

With puppet cities being bad money sinks, I have joined in the "raze every city I can" bandwagon -- or is that battlewagon?

Anyhoo, there are oddities when executing this. Like some others who follow this policy, I bring Settlers to build my own new cities while razing others. Unfortunately, odd things tend to happen ... namely once one city finishes razing and I settle in its spot, the cultural borders I still have from neighboring cities in the process of being razed will vanish when they fully raze. This can leave holes not just beyond the 1-tile new city border, but it can and does actually eliminate some of those 1-border tiles as well as is happening in my current game! This seems kind of silly. I think, if you manage to build a city and there are borders within 3 hexes of that new city you found that are yours, they should remain yours even when the neighboring cities finish raizing. They definitely should never take out your one-radius border. -You- conquered the lands, your troops have a definite familiarity with the lands you have conquered and have obviously established military control.

Anyhoo, would love to see this in a patch, or failing that maybe someone could consider it for a mod?

Actualy If you are razing a city its ytiles Shouldn't be yours... they should become your enemies... or become barbarian. (you shouldn't get any of the city tiles until resistance has ended and you have puppeted/annexed the city)

It should not take out tiles near cities you are keeping, though. At present, it does. You should be able to keep those ... consider if you have one city built very near a rival's city. If you conquer the rival's city, you can start working its tiles with your first city, but you lose them if you raze the city, even though you were the victor. You should be able to keep the tiles near the cities you have and/or are keeping.
