Gasbag
Programmed before the Soviet Union's collapse, Perestroika is addictive arcade freeware in which you maneuver a frogger protagonist, an allegory to a Russian reformer during the era, as he jumps to and from fleeting, randomly generated lily pads. Various goods and enemies appear throughout the game.
When run, a large depiction of Gorbachev appears amidst dilapidated buildings, and the system locks up under Windows. Otherwise, music begins playing, and after 15 seconds a title screen appears, displaying the game rudiments in Russian before playing begins. When you inevitably lose, as the game could have used a delay, the antagonist hard-liners, the red froggers, do a continual dance.
Does anyone have more information? I've heard rumors of an "invisibility" cheat when the frog is constantly moved to the initial pad...
