Please ship with multiplayer support

Every Civ game to date has shipped as single player and later added multiplayer through expansions. I would really like it, as I'm sure others would as well, if multiplayer shipped with the vanilla version of the game.

Killler features are supposedly "Civics" and "Religion". Also they're not going to make the game any more complex -- they'll simplify some aspects to make room for new concepts, but the net complexity will stay overall the same.

And there's a lot of talk about fighting cynicism and fatigue among the loyal fanbase... while there's also a lot of talk about sticking with the core ideals that keep the game what it is. Also talk about making a grab for a new audience, somewhat different audience.
