Policies magically appearing!

Curious game here, the reloading screen popped up many times

Amazing to see 20 policies completed by turn 118, without even using Piety, Freedom, Stonehenge, or a culture civ:

Then by turn 141 rationalism is 1 policy away from completion:

Aha, there we go after another loading screen, turn 142 rationalism complete!

The player with all these policies said they only filled out 2 trees, they could not see these other policies. I could see the 10% combat bonus by hovering over their units, so what a "bug" indeed where he can't see his policies but can gain the benefit of them.:lol:

But not even massive policies could save them from a frigate rush at their coastal capital. :smug:

Nope, everybody started at Prince level.

Sidenote: some players think that "good" players don't play MP on prince, but as you know in MP, all humans have same advantage/disadvantage, you are trying to outplay humans not AI. As Tabernak once said, if you play on Diety some lucky player will be able to steal a worker by move 10, free worker that early a big deal.
 
I have had a glitch once where i could get 2 great persons from hagia sophia im a Multiplayer game. That was most likely because the game hung up somewhat cause someone left and i clicked in that second.

Id certainly say its not impossible if someone discovered the exact mechanics of this bug, especially if it is connected to reloads etc.

Cant say if you could reliably recreate this, its very rare.
