I agree with noughmaster (to rhyme with enough or dough?).

Nough rhymes with "zoo". It comes from the name of a weird guy we saw at the markets one day. His name was Dale Nougher (noo-er) and he was playing all these ambient, "sounds of the sea" type stuff and had a machine which let off a bunch of fragrant smells, except he had a look on his face like he had laid a log in his pants.

The most disreputable civ is always mine! I'll make peace, move a freight into their city and then make war again. My favourite wonder is the UN, the Eiffel Tower isn't worth anything other than the bonus civ points because I never care what my reputation may be.

Yes, exactly. I have no idea why anyone would waste time with the Eiffel Tower. Get it by conquest for the points, but by then my reputation is so bad, 100 Eiffel towers and a character reference from Jesus Christ couldn't fix it.
The UN is certainly great for forcing peace when you've taken a city with 1 or 2 paratroopers, building up, then getting a few more cities.
Speaking of colours, how stupid is the colour scheme in Test of Time?

), but to be honest I'm far too lazy. I can't be bothered to go through the atlas looking for cities in Mongolia, South Russia and Afghanistan.

Thankyou, Jesus and God. I suppose the best civilizations to try this with might be the strongly Catholic ones eg. the Spanish or possibly the French. Or maybe it would work with any civilization in Fundamentalism?

Why would you make peace just to send in a Freight? I'm pretty sure you get a higher revenue for trading with a civ you're at war with.

As some others have pointed out, human players are much less trusworthy than AI civs. This of course is because we are capable of thinking strategically. The AI can't think in terms of overall long-term strategy.

If there are any AI's reading this, Never, Never make peace with a human.

I usually try to have at least three of the more aggressive AI civs in a 7 player game with the large map.Thus Zulus,Vikings,Mongols, and Celts,or Greeks/Macedonians often feature. My usual objective is to get a good size global empire, and do alot of trade. Thus I am not adverse to a good war or two to liven things up.

When I want to play the ruthless hated by all warrior kingdom I play the Zulus. Then I go out of my way to break treaties use diplomats to the fullest all the while moving my troops into position. This can be very fun especially with Great Wall where they constantly sign the treaties out of force only to tell you "I know this isn't worth the paper it is written on" (at least that is what they say on TOT). Good times.

On freight, you get a penalty for being at war. Of course, as the Zulus my reputation is always the worst, but when I play as the Babylonians or Greeks I can be nice

I hated the darn Zulus in Civ I !!

For whatever reason, the Zulus haven't made an appearance in any of my games in a very long time...either the Japanese or the Babs have been there representing Team Green.

Given a situation where I could attack Zulus or another Civ, all other things being equal I would take out the Zulus. Just for old times sake

I like the Zulus when I'm playing on the Egyptians, haha, I just develop gunpowder, and what do they still build? Warriors!
